Week 5 - Slow It Down

Theme: Slow It Down

Objective: Capture an image with a shutter speed of 1 second or greater.

Description: Slow-shutter photography involves using a long-duration shutter speed to sharply capture the stationary elements of images while blurring, smearing, or obscuring the moving elements. Long-exposure photography captures one element that conventional photography does not: an extended period of time. The paths of bright moving objects become the star of the image — clouds turn to paint brush strokes, vehicle lights create red/white trails, stars leave maze-like trails in the sky, and waves appear like glass. Take not that bright objects shine the best whereas dark objects may not be seen so clearly. Take your time to set up the shot, be intentional about your results and enjoy the ride
